Was pirate themed this year. One morning, Hugo woke up and said that he needed to see a real pirate ship. So we looked online for museums that had pirate exhibits. I kept talking about that awesome exhibit Gideon and I went to about pirates. It was in Portland, by the water on Commercial Street. After, we went for pizza at McCucci’s and we ate it by the small-rail train next to the bike path in Portland. That day was so much fun and that museum was super. It’s closed now.
So we looked online and found out that the biggest pirate discovery in the world happened off the coast of Cape Cod. They found a pirate ship, tons of treasure and artifacts, and people continue to dive yearly and find more and more. The exhibit traveled around the country and it was the very same one that Gideon and I saw! And it’s permanently on the Cape!
Hugo was so excited. He begged me every day to take him to Cape Cod. On Thanksgiving we went to see LaLa and Da and Hugo got his wish.

Here is Hugo the Pirate. The black spots on his face are scars from sword pokes. We went to the museum, then walked around the ships in Hyannis harbor, then watched “Pirates of the Caribbean” at night.

This picture was from Thanksgiving morning. It was a beautiful morning on Cape Cod. We walked to the ocean after breakfast. On the way, we found this sign and thought it was pretty great.

Papa found this sign and thought it was pretty great. It didn’t taste as great as the word would imply though.
We came back home last night, all 10 of us. We decided to bring the bantams with us on vacation. I spend so much time babying them that I didn’t think it was cool to ask anybody else to take that much care in watching over the farm animals. So I put them in a little bird cage and brought them along. I didn’t tell LaLa and Da. When I was unpacking, I just left them in their little bird cage on the step on their front door. It was very funny and we all felt more at home with our little chickens running around in the back yard. I think they had a nice vacation. LaLa and Da keep lots of bird feeders in the yard and the seeds drop down to the ground. The chickens enjoyed spending the day tasting all the special seeds that they never have back at home. They’re looking forward to vacation next year.
I had a dream about you guys last night. I dreamed that you could come here as soon as frost was on the ground. You could stay until all the frost was gone for the year.
I hope your Thanksgiving was delicious and full of love.
