This is just another random thing I found while moving through my day. Pax is a big jokester and I don’t know if this toilette paper was a plan at an April Fool’s prank or if it had a more complicated story behind it. This year, April Fool’s Day lasted for the month of April. But it was especially cute what the boys’ idea of a prank was…tapping the wrong shoulder and yelling “April Fool’s” was big on the list.

I like this random picture of a spring-time rainy day. Under the bansch-porch was the most comfortable, dry spot to roast marshmallows.

And of course, April means more chicken babies. 15 Isa Brown’s this year, plus 5 bantam chicks to add to our bantam flock.

Pax first named his little bantam “Pirate’s Booty” but changed it the next day to the more sophisticated “Chamber”. Hugo’s chick is named “Bone Dragon”.

This is a close up of the A-frame teenage-chicken house in the backyard. It’s wire now has too many holes to keep chickens in, and I haven’t gotten around to replacing it yet. This is one of the places that Hugo and Pax cleverly fixed on their own.

This is Pax’s store. There is a scrap of paper in the front that reads “$3”. When he walked away from it some scrounging chickens came and helped themselves. I saved a couple of tomatoes and that chocolate.

Hugo’s store had a bit more of a whimsical feel to it. It made me think of a collection that I pirate-crow might come up with as treasure.

And as always – LEGOS, LEGOS AND MORE LEGOS!
