Hugo did everything terrifying at the ropes course!
I don’t think it looks as big in this video as it was in real life. Hugo’s little, tiny body was so far up in the air. I could see his expression and his head thrown back in the fall and I thought that he wasn’t liking this. But as he whooshed up by the bungy-chords, I could hear him yell, “THIS IS AWESOME”. I can’t hear that when I play the video back. But I love to hear Ishmael yelling Hugo’s name like the proudest brother in the world. And when he ran up to Hugo after, he was shouting, “Hugo…Two fists!…Two fists!” It sounds a little strange, but those words absolutely explain just the way he was feeling as a little brother watching something so daring.
Hugo also did zip-lines 4 stories up many times. And the ropes’ course was no problem for him at all. I was very proud. And also, a little bit nervous knowing that I’m the mother of a person who might not have any limit in his adventurous spirit.
Also this summer…..
This is a picture of a fly trap that Hugo made in the yard. When the fly bumps the small woodchip to get to the delicious chicken poop underneath, the large wood chip will fall on him! I haven’t searched through all of the wood chips in the path yet to find out if it worked.

New Hampshire – take me away!
