Check out the lack of hair! No more hair-time hours with the Octonauts. No more teeny-tiny elastic bands for the ends of teeny-tiny braids. They look so much older with their boy-cuts.
You can’t really tell in this picture, but Hugo cut the front part of his hair in the center. He came running up to me asking if he looked like Gideon. He got very sad and sat looking at himself in the mirror for a long time. He does look like Gideon, but what’s strange is how much he has Gideon’s expressions and mannerisms. Sometimes he’ll say something and it shocks me, like Gideon’s here again for a few seconds. I miss you Gideon. Hugo misses you.
Our Family in Maine 
Hugo came to me the other day and confessed that he ate toilette paper (clean, that is). Ian talked about how Anna used to eat paper. And perhaps it is that many people eat paper, but it also is crazy how similar family is, no matter how far away. Somewhere, brother are brothers are brothers, and there’s no taking that away.
